Living Soil Network

The Living Soil Network is Soil Squad’s next step in growing community composting across St Albans. Funded by St Albans District Council, this autumn and winter we’ll be mapping where composting is already happening across the district, from allotments and schools to community gardens, neighbourhood projects and individuals composting for a few households.
Through workshops, conversations and local connections, we want to understand what already exists, what support people need and where new composting hubs could grow. The aim is to create the foundations for a wider network that keeps food waste local, builds healthier living soils and makes community composting easier for more people to take part in.
